I've been preparing for this ride since I got my trike in May-2012. I escaped the Texas heat with an eight day tour from Acton MA to West Paris ME and back in July-2012. That was one of three tours I've done to prepare for this tour.
I've learned a lot from each tour. I feel confident that I have worked things out.
The last thing I did before I packed my trike was to call a mini-van cab to take me on a quick ride. I have in mind that if I have a bridge that is unsafe to cross I'll call a cab.
It worked great. Here I am all packed and ready for the tour.
I unpacked the trike and got ready to load everything in the cab.
No problem! It was easy to load. Next job was to crate everyting.
I packed and shipped the crate.
That was no small task. The crate was 135 lbs, but I managed to load and unload it into Anne's station wagon.
