My first overnight was Savannas Campground in Fort Pierce FL. 

The Garmin led me astray on the way.  I took an unexpected visit to Macarthur Beach State Park.  There's a long walkway that leads to the beach.

I thought it would be fun to track the price of gas along my way.  Of course, my cost in calories is much more!
      

I took a break at a beach along the way.  I met a nice couple who took my photo.

I arrived at 8 pm.  The night manager led me to the campsite and showed me where the power outlet was.  I asked if I could just camp there.  He gave a curt "No" without any explanation.  I was put off until I saw where I was the next morning.  It was the middle peninsula with “Do not feed the alligator” signs at the water’s edge!
